Most people don't think about the three major ways they can come in. First, there is: Legal Immigration Then Refugee Immigration Then ILLEGAL Immigration Legal we know about. This is the place where we will need to adjust numbers, requirements of qualities needed for employment, where and when possible. Re: Refugee Immigration: NONE of the offices could tell me even *about* how many people come in this way every year. I was surprised, to say the least! Refugees come in by Executive Order signed by the President. It could be from political situations in another country, it could be from disasters various countries, etc. In other words, at that time, NO ONE Government agency had an idea of exactly how many people came in this way, not even to the nearest thousand.... This needs to be tallied, and by country. Americans have every right to know who these people are, and our elected officials need to know these numbers. Re: ILLEGAL Aliens: Again, we have NO way of knowing how many people come in every year. We can NOT support this. This situation needs to be fixed. If we can not apprehend every person coming in illegally, then we need to have a foolproof way to have people identified. We have tossed so many things under the rug, for so many years. Terrorism possibilities; escalating costs because of things like free medical care, food stamps, housing; increasing crime; etc etc etc etc... To say nothing of something simple like: We are a nation of laws. By ignoring our laws, the people who don't obey the laws are criminals, but so are we as a nation. We can't tell people to obey some laws, and not others! If people want to have *open borders* then we should get rid of the current laws. If we want to have control of who is coming to this country, we need to enforce our current laws. We can not have it both ways. One reason many "conservatives" support illegal immigration is that legal immigration is so restricted.
