Just to clarify what I meant by

Sometimes Coulter's attacks crystallize the issue do but often only to those who are already on her side on the issue. But it possible that it might be her intent to use "artful exaggeration with the goal of crystallizing a political point, and sometimes she does indeed make the point very clear with exaggeration. I do think there is some similarity between her words and the drawings of some political cartoonists.
