If the knock law was created by judicial precedent and interpretation, why can't a subsequent Supreme Court decide that the law does not need to be enforced as rigorously as in the past.

And the Sloppy Broader Strokes Department says that if the Democrats had succeeded in convincing middle America they could do a better job protecting them, there would have been a Democrat-appointed justice in Alito's chair and the decision would have gone the other way, most likely.

Try convincing a swing voter why drugs obtained via a valid warrant should not be used to convict the dealer. Did the cops plant the drugs? No. Did they beat the guy up until he told them where the drugs were hidden? No. Did they pretend they heard a scream and crash the door without a warrant, only to discover drugs in plain sight after entry under exigent circumstances? No.

Look forward to hearing that script on some talk radio shows. To me, it's all about picking your battles, especially when they come from an outsider and an underdog.
