I see your point.

Even if you drive less miles in your gas guzzler, you would still be using more gas than what you would consume in a more fuel efficient vehicle.

Also what about the person who drives 100 miles a day in traffic in lets say a Honda Accord getting 28 m.p.g. compared to a person who drives the same amount of miles under the circumstances in Lincoln Navigator getting 15 m.p.g.?
