They're doing it all the time. Standing up for the troops safety in Iraq. Standing up for minimum wage increases. Standing up for veteran's benefits so they won't be cut. Standing up for constitutional separation of powers that the righties are trying to erode. Etc, etc, etc. Look in any newspaper about current legislation. The democrats are on the side that protects the rights of the normal person. The righties are on the side of corporations and government taking away those rights.
