I'll bet you if more people used public transportation that there would be a significant drop in gas/oil usage. Maybe traffic jams would become less frequent also. Gee wouldn't that be a pity if demand went down and gas at the pumps got cheaper. Think of it, you might then pay under $75 to fill up the tank of your truck. LOL!

BTW, what's wrong with having some sort of tax credit given to people who use mass transportation?
