Why should we care?
In fact, if we had any brains we would be selling them every weapon they wanted. It would reduce the balance of trade and make a friend out of an enemy.

That's funny. It could be interpreted as a pledge that the US won't attack with more than a certain level of force - don't waste money, guys, you won't need more than you've already got to hold us off. Who said the age of chivalry was dead?
