Murtha did not say "by a certain date". That's the columnist's words. Murtha said as soon as possible so long as it's safe for the troops. In short, Bushies continue lying about this disasterous war. Bushies are good at spinning that the insurgents are terrorists, and a few are, or have adopted Al Qaida methods, but the vast majority are just Iraqis who want their country back. In other words, a civil war with our troops in the middle. Just like Vietnam.

The Bushies are dishonestly changing the wording of Murtha and Kerry's responsible, sane and smart plans to get us out of Iraq in order to smear them. It's reprehensible, especially since this is such a critical issue where our brave troops are literally dying every day. But Bushies will not allow honest debate on the war, only spin, smears and cover-ups.

The White House calls 2500 "just a number" but it's more than that. Every one of those plus the 20,000 wounded and 40,000+ dead Iraqis is a real tragedy. And for what? To start and get stuck in a civil war? Our troops want to come home and need to come home. This war has badly decimated our military.

Al Qaida wants us in Iraq, but 80% of the Iraqis want us out and 50% say it's okay to kill Amreicans. The Iraqi PM is the one who wants a timetable for our withdrawl. And that PM's #1 man said Iraqis who kill American troops will be given amnesty. Also, the entire world and entire Middle East want us out of there. Who wants us in Iraq? Just Al Qaida, Iran and Bushie defence contractors.
