Bush is the one who slashed veterans benefits in 2001, then he tried again until GOP congressmen complained. Kerry is the #1 proponent of veterans benefits and rights in the senate. Max cleland was too until the Bushies smeared him as a "traitor in league with the terrorists" and made fun of his war wound which was three limbs blown off. Sound familiar? The usual Bushie smears and lies. You should be ashamed for repeating this kind of nonsense. You realize Kerry also voted FOR all those same packages in slightly different forms. You're just rehashing the old Bush 2004 campaign TOTAL BS. The fact is you could draw up a similar list for any senator and Kerry's voting record on those issues was identical to Zell Miller's when he was in the senate. Cheney also approved those defense cuts. Also, let's be clear. Kerry was 100% right about trying to pause the 87 billion initial war funding bill until it was paid for and had accountability written in. The way it went through it was 100% unaccountable deficit-spending which then just vanished into the Rumsfield-cheney world. Now we have 21 billion missing in Iraq and the Bushies refuse to investigate where all the missing money went. And they called the UN corrupt? Also, did you see the evidence yesterday that of course it was Cheney who got Halliburton the fat no-bid contracts which they overcharged and gouged us on? That's huge corruption.
