Rumsfeld himself reported back in '84 of having repeatedly warned Iraq not to use chemical weapons, but that's just an accurate aside. Hmmmm......Rumsfeld warned Saddam not to use chemical weapons? I'd love to see that link. Interesting that at the same time the Reagan administration was selling or encouraging the sale of chemicals used in chemical warfare, Rumsfeld was telling Saddam not to use them. Does that make sense to you? It doesn't me. Maybe your link will clear things up. I think we certainly did not deserve the 911 attack, not thanks to our prior acts or any other reason given, and that the perpetrators of and sympathizers with the 911 attack, were quite wrong, awful, and need to be put down for our own good. You've said some fairly, I think, wrongheaded and contradictory things on the matter, IMHO. I think your thinking is not very clear headed. When you wrong people, there are usually reprisals. Its human nature. That rule applies even to Americans. Chinu doesn't see the difference between the actions of Bush and those of Hitler. Do you think Bush is akin to Hitler too? Who is Chinu? I don't think Bush is Hitler per se but I think there are some dangerous elements of facism in the Bush administration and Bush is as messed up in the head as Hitler.
