Buddy, There are loop holes that need to be plugged but IMO the final answer is a flat tax.

Not even the Democrats are going to plug all of the loop holes as long as you have people like the Kennedy's, and John Kerry in the Congress. They are as greedy as any oil baron. Gore is a multi-millionaire and never hit a lick at regular job income.
