in about 75% of state constitutions it says the citizen has the right to bare arms, so they understood what the fathers meant

The constitution declares the right of the people to bear arms. But it also declares the limitations for the use of arms.

II) A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

We have a right to a well regulated militia.

Being necessary to the security of a "free State", the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

That says that the ownership of arms shall not be infringed. It describes the need for and the use.

The people will know when freedom has been lost. Americans will never settle for less.

There's a reason this right was number two on the list. It is a very important right. It does not allow the use of arms to commit crimes. It allows their use to protect freedom.

Therefore if there are unlawful uses, those folks may find themselves in jail or worse.

McVeigh was clearly a nutcase. His actions killed innocents and was not an action to secure the free state. He was clearly in violation of the law.

I believe that Bush is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors. I also believe that the constitution already anticipated that there would be men elected as president that would need to be removed. That is what the impeachment process is for.

It is becoming clearer everyday that impeachment is warranted. Soon even the republican majority will not be able to ignore the truth and the facts. The majority of the people in the united states are for impeachment. At some point the congress will have to carry out the wishes of the electorate. I still have faith in that process. I understand that the truth sometimes takes a while to be understood.
