I DO think that the government should maintain (except in cases of national emergency, war, etc.) a BALANCED budget if at all possible.

Just borrowing money so you can give tax cuts makes no sense to me.


Increasing spending by even one cent when the budget is not balanced make no sense to me. Yet certain members of Congress complain loudly if their targets for spending increases are not exceeded. They call huge increases, cuts, and the FMSM cooperated and amplifies these opinions as if they were facts.
