I've got to admit, soccer is as exciting as paint drying to me. It's even dumber than golf! Humans have these wonderful opposable thumbs that let us grasp things, but not in soccer! But then soccer DOES allow striking the ball with your head! It's great exercise, but as a spectator sport, it just doesn't make it. For regular matches I agree with you, but for the World Cup it is pretty excellent, and much better entertainment than the Olympics. You don't get to see Ghana playing against Czech Republic in many sporting events, and soccer is a lot more entertaining than shot put.... I like watching soccer a lot more than I like watching basketball. I like it almost as much as football and baseball. In fact, I wish I was in Germany right now going to one of the games. <g>
