The point is that whale meat is losing its appeal for the Japanese, and the government is conducting campaigns to encourage them to eat more.

The situation with whales isn't as dire as that of primates in Africa, where chimps and gorillas are being hunted for food.

Chaters re whales. What I noticed missing from your post was the inhumanity of killing whales.

That is the thesis of this debate.

The new Guinea people used to practise cannibalism. Modern ideas of humanity told them they had to stop this pracitise.

Our modern knowledge of enlightenment is the only thing that will protect our world from destruction.

Not killing whales is an example of this understanding.
