JF, To understand history? The better question is - why don't you?

You missed the "public school library" nuance. I think it's OK to have controversial books like that in the county-run public libraries, but in our schools it should be left to our school boards to figure out what's included or not based on cirriculum, priorities, and what we want to expose our kids to.

How about this. Why not also include some books about proper bomb-making procedures in public school libraries? Good luck pushing for that in a post-Columbine era.
