Don, I don't agree at all that Taylor landed the more significant blows in the fight. Taylor was unable to back Winky up the entire fight. Same for Hopkins. Taylor throws a lot of punches but it's clear that a top level fighter can avoid getting caught by his power shots. Taylor has now fought 36 rounds with Hopkins and Wright and he hasn't come close to hurting either one.

A lot has been made of Wright's inactivity in the last two rounds. In my view, Taylor did even less than Wright, yet he has avoided criticism.

I'm not so sure about continued improvement in Taylor as a fighter. Taylor is an Olympian with an extensive amateur background and as a professional, he's had 26 fights, the last 3 of which against the best the game has to offer. Despite all that experience, Taylor is still viewed as being green. It's almost like people (Lampley, et al) want Taylor to be great and are too easy to overlook his obvious shortcomings as a fighter. Taylor is a very good fighter and that's good enough.
