Various studies have shown that Perot got about equal number of votes from both sides. It was an intersection of fiscally conservative and socially liberal types that voted for him. And during those days, at least some Republicans were fiscally conservative.

True, the real studies showed that Perot took over 90% of his 19% of the total vote from Bush.
