If France or Germany or any other country who didn't wish the US to go to war in Iraq did NOT believe that Iraq had WMDS, why did not a single one use the argument to try to disuade the US from invading?

That was the question.

Why did France et. al. never use the argument that Saddam didn't have WMDs, which would have been so useful to them? Because everybody believed he had them & was hiding them. Thus the argument was, give the inspectors another year or two to see if they can find the stuff.
