Close to 100% of the media is owned by corporations.

PBS is worth watching for a lot of programs. But as far as news and current affairs, they are becoming more like Pentagon Broadcasting Service. For current affairs programs, I listen to a small, local station funded by listeners, not by Lockheed Martin (as PBS is).

That local station is like a small island of progressive ideas in a sea of regressive media. Such stations are few and far between. Some days back I had to go to Texas and all I could find on the radio was regressive talk shows.
