There is no evidence Syria received chemical weapons from Saddam. There is only speculation by those who were embarrassed by our failure to turn up anything after the invasion. But if they had, I believe those weapons would be stale by now. Nerve gases have a short shelf life.

It's worth remembering that the last time Saddam used chemical weapons was twenty years before the invasion. At the time, the U.S. did nothing about it. Wasn't the famous photo of the smiling Rumsfeld shaking Saddam's hand taken after he had gassed the Kurds?
