By "other side" I assume you mean politics. I wasn't talking about politics, I was talking about science.

Gore irritates me, it's true, which could be said to be a political reaction except that all politicians irritate me. I can't think of a single living politician who wouldn't cause me to avoid a movie that features them.

When I said "Gore exaggerates" what I meant is that "these things which are stated as fact are actually exaggerations," regardless of the person or persons stating them. I wouldn't find them credible coming from someone I loathed less tham Gore, e.g., Bush, Giuliani, McKain, Gingrich, George Allen, or the ghost of Ronald Reagan.

Exaggerating for effect may well be a failure with all politicians. After all, they want to make broad policy changes, so maybe they think that if they exaggerate they can at least get a tiny incremental change. But it just turns me off.
