I'll meet you partway and admit the republicans are better at exploiting democrats who have exploited people's emotions...

How's that?

In a quavering, tearful voice now; "NINE ONE OOONNNEEEE"! Remember the chimp on the rubble pile with the bullhorn as soon as he knew itwas safe enough to land AF1? Now, THAT's maximum exploitation!

re: how do you define exploitation?

The "conservatives" on this thread are the same guys that, if you point out 2500 good soldiers have been killed in Iraq, will say "well 3 people were killed in Detroit last night". Their "so what" attitude is obvious. They don't give a shit about those two soldiers... they care about how it will reflect on their political position.

It's bizarre that they blame those deaths on the folks that were against the war from the start.

Iraq is a total waste and a disaster and every US death is their fault... they were stupid enough to buy the bull shit.

And every death going forward, US soldier or Iraqi civilian, is the fault of those that don't stand up against this occupation. The fatherless kids have them to blame.

For what? Some political point? What exactly do these guys expect to be the "great outcome" in Iraq that is worth another life? What's the mission that's worth the sacrifice?

I wish just one of them would articulate the cost/benefit at this point.
