It's hard for a heathen like me to appreciate the subtle differences between "good" Christians and "bad" ones. But I imagine that Catholics would be offended if you told them that they did not regard Jesus as the son of God. I went to a Catholic school and even as a Jewish boy I had to make the sign of the cross and learn about the Holy Trinity.

I am an example of a bad Christian, because I am a great sinner. Please don't use me as the standard for Christianity! Look to the holy saints of God for examples of holy Christians.

Roman Catholics and Protestants are not Christian period. It is not a matter if they are "good" or "bad" Christians. They simply are not Christians.

There is none good but one, that is, God. (Matthew 19.17)

But I imagine that Catholics would be offended if you told them that they did not regard Jesus as the son of God.

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? (James 2.19-20)

You see, anyone can say anything. They can make a pretense about believing in God. Even the demons can confess there is a God.

The false doctrines of the Papists can easily be summed up in this passage, which is in the New Testament but is a quotation from Isaiah 29:

Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. (Matthew 15:7-9)

You see? You can make a pretense of belief with your lips. But what did Christ tell us?

But in vain they do worship me

So you see the Papists and Protestants worship in vain.

I had to make the sign of the cross and learn about the Holy Trinity.

The Papists make the sign of the cross backwards, going from left to right. They changed not long after they departed from the true Church a thousand years ago and the Holy Spirit forsook them. They used to make it correctly, going from right to left.

Orthodox for 2,000 years correctly make the sign of the cross from right to left.

Most of the poor ignorant Protestants don't even know they are supposed to make the sign of the cross.
