To: philv who wrote (11244 ) 7/22/2006 10:22:20 PM From: Cyprian Respond to of 22250 I wish I could speak with the same conviction and knowledge as you, but I can't. Zionism has to do with the State of Israel, and central to that is Jerusalem. In simplistic terms, that is how I have thought of Zionism. I kind of feel like I am in school and am struggling to answer a question that I just know will be inadequate and/or incorrect. I defer to you to answer your own question. Greetings Phil, The Bible speaks of a true Zion, and a false one as well. We need the guidance of the Holy Spirit and Holy Church to help us determine which is the true and which is the counterfeit. The true Zion can only be built up with the Lord. The Lord and His angels gather the outcasts of Israel from the four-corners of the earth. When the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory. (Psalm 102.16) And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. (Isa 11:12) These things were fulfilled when Jesus Christ appeared in His first advent. Since the Jews reject Jesus Christ they look for their false messiah, which they call (Mashiach ben David) to do what Jesus Christ has already fulfilled. Christ will fulfill this yet again when He comes in His second advent to gather the outcasts of Israel and the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. These are the Christians. For the Christians are the true Jews (Judah) and the true Israel. The thing is, Antichrist is going to counterfeit Christ's second coming and pretend that he gathers the outcasts of Israel. That is why we need to search the Scriptures daily so we will not be deceived. Some Jews are simply getting a head start and gathering themselves, not waiting for Antichrist to do it. They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity. (Micah 3.10) Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired (Zep 2.1) Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. (Isa 54.15)
