Cyprian > Christians know that the more they suffer in this life, the greater their reward in Heaven. (or in the case of others, more punishment here will mean less punishment in the afterlife).

I feel sorry for Christians -- like masochists, they have been brainwashed to suffer. Don't you think it's time to drop your chains and stand up and demand your rights.

> Either way God is Just and will render to every man according to their deeds, whether they be good or evil, whether they are repaid in this life or in the next.

I simply cannot believe that supposedly educated people can actually believe stuff like this.

> Everyone will be forced to make a choice. Become an Orthodox Christian or a Christ-denying Jew. In the first case you will suffer for a brief time on this earth, while laying up treasures in heaven.

When I'm dead my body will become dust -- and that's it. You can be what you like.

> Choice is yours.

Actually the choice is different -- one can delude oneself with all the fairy-tale and life-hereafter nonsense or accept reality for what it is.

"Either way God is Just and will render to every man according to their deeds, whether they be good or evil, whether they are repaid in this life or in the next."

The real question is, who are you going to believe? You are betting your soul on a god who, arbitrarily, had his only son murdered. You are stating that you are willing to suffer greatly to follow the promises of a god, by who's example, under certain circumstances, it is OK to murder your own children!?

Does that mean that, in order to collect your rewards in Heaven, you need to follow God's example and kill off your own child?
