The right's response: you unpatriotic weak kneed slob, you have a duty to support the war. That's hate speech. Which part in that sentence is "hate"? Slob? Your sentence above is a normal expression of opinion, it's not hate speech. Hate speech is along the lines of "Kill the nigger!" or "The only good gay is a dead gay.". Hate speech requires expression of malice against a person or group for no reason other than they are of a certain type or in a certain group. Oh shit! Why didn't I ask you do to define hate speech before I posted??? I should have known you have the lock on hate speeches. Oh btw, just for the record........righties have said "kill the liberals"; and "the only good dem is a dead one". This has been going on for years. But, in truth, you don't have to go that far to be hateful. Soooo.......bottom line......you have your definition of hate, and I have mine.
