Either the people demanding a time table do not understand the nature of war, or they are rooting for the other side. War is a matter of one side testing the integrity of other side's operation. When a time comes that one side is not able to stand up to the challenges of the other side all combative operations are at an end. If you can get all the insurgent interests in Iraq to agree to a time table for their withdrawal or disbanning of forces, I am confident you can get Bush to cooperate by declaring a schedule for US military withdrawal of force. If one side leaves while the other side still has viable operations ... the side that leaves, looses.

Why don't you anti-war folks complain about the enemies operations including a 'time table', its like you are their booster club or something.
