People in Massachusetts are smart and well-educated. You have the Kennedy School Of Government there for instance which actually takes smart governing for the good of the country seriously. I was there for a picnic last summer and met a Lt. Colonel just back from Iraq. He told me two things, that Halliburtan ran everything and could not be trusted, and that the Saudis are not our friends. Those are Bush and Cheney's #1 special interests, and we can't trust them. Bad news.

Because of the Kennedys Massachusetts has a reputation as very liberal, but not so. Massachusetts has elected three GOP governors in a row and there are quite a few redneck types in Mass as well. But one thing Massachusetts is not is ignorant.
