Here are a few good reasons I can conceive of: - to help the people of Iraq establish a secure and united government. - so that when we leave Iraq we do so with the honor of being Iraq's main supporter in taking a stand against brutal tyranny - to support an Iraqi constitutional government with representatives of, by, and for the people of Iraq. - to support a new partner in the cause of democracy in the world - So that Iraq can once again be seen as a member of the global society of free people. - To support the cause of liberty and justice for all. - To contravene the interests, threats, and operations of terrorists and global tyrant wannabees.
