that 100 megapixel "chip" is 4 inches square. But the density will improve and I'll have my wish (or bane -- a lot to archive forever... <g>). I'd guess pro-cameras at 100Mpix in 3-5 years and consumer level in about 10. For 35mm-sized lenses, I'd guess that 30-50 mpix will be about the limit of the SLR lenses. Digital meets physics 101. Actually that was physics 203 for me <g>
