Cycle Smhycle, they forecast the big one every year. Same like the Dr. that told me I'd be dead in a year if I didn't get treated in '94. Better delete this as I'm a ghost.

It actually wasn't a rhetorical question. We've know for at least 30 years that a very large very destructive earthquake could happen there at any moment and we've hade a pretty good understanding of why that is for a long time.

I really wondered if there was some new scientific info in that article or if it was just the annual "don't say we didn't warn you" piece. I didn't see anything new but maybe I missed it.

I remember as a kid reading about the ominous "Palmdale Bulge" and being glad I lived 2000 miles away.
