You can focus on the young men if you want to. I don't see focussing on the young women as "saddling them with the responsibility for all social ills." Just reminding them that they're responsible for who they open their legs to, and for the babies that result.

I have a black male client who's fathered at least five kids by at least three different women -- actually when you get to know him he's a nice guy, hard working, loves his kids, above average intelligence, fairly attractive, tall. And I've had lots of black female clients with no husbands -- and other colors, too. The people aren't really stupid and they aren't from another planet, they just did what everybody around them does.

By the time I get to know them, they've quit having babies and are just struggling to make ends meet. So I know how the story goes. Men come, men go, and the kids stay. They don't want to get married unless they meet the right guy, and Mr. Right never comes.
