You'll get no argument from me that not having the baby is the best option.

Where we disagree is how to ascribe responsibility for both prevention and dealing with the aftermath of unsuccessful prevention.

I think men and women share these responsibilities. You think the obligations fall almost solely on the women, from a feminist perspective.

If your POV is the prevailing view, it explains why the cycle hasn't been broken to date.
