Actually, I should have typed more on the Stokely Carmichael thing but traveling has me typing shorter sentences than I should.

Casey Hayden, who was a college friend of mine, considered Carmichael to be very good on feminism issues, as compared to many other males in SNCC, the larger civil rights movement, and the anti-war movement later in the 60s. She thought it unfortunate he took the hit on that score.
