Do you think young women really think the problems are solved? I certainly hope that isn't the case. The high school girls I taught did not think the problems were solved.

Yeah, and they think most of the problems are already solved and will remain solved without any unpleasant and uncomfortable effort. I found that to be a fairly mixed bag. The brightest and best were genuinely clear eyed about the difficulties ahead; there were some movement activists who could give you verse and chapter; there were some as you describe--gonna have a career and family and everybody will love me--which is an unfortunate disease of a great many college students, regardless of gender; and then there were some who wished it were still the 50s.
