Earth hottest it's been in 2,000 years By JOHN HEILPRIN, Associated Press Writer Seattle tends to have an extended Spring. Summer usually doesn't start until the week after July 4th where temps might get above 75º-80º. Up til then, temps usually are in the low 70s. Not this year.......we went into the 90s a week ago, and its been in the 80s ever since. Global warming? Who knows......but given all the other wacky weather in this country this year, it fits.
