NYT occasionally has op eds written by non-regulars. Some are good. Some are bad and sometimes the Times just gets snookered. Krugman, Dowd and Herbert suck. Kristoff who is a liberal is great. He is as responsible as anyone for getting the world to look at Darfur, child sex atrocities in asia and africa. He is as fair as they come and will go after the left like jessie and sharpy when they give succor to the Sudan for example. Tom Friedman is liberal but not extreme at all. David Brooks is a conservative as is John Tierney. Times editorials fall in the krugman-herbert arena and are liberal. Again the newsmen are great and even if many or most are liberal, i suggest you and the conservatives start a scholarship fund for conservative kids who go into journalism. Too many of them spend the day listening to rush and hannity rather than following the news.
