Bush has threatened two vetos: to defend torture and to defend the Dubai Ports deal letting rich Arabs take over 22 of our largest ports. Bush has never threatened to veto anything else, even the biggest fattest pork barrel deficit spending bills in US history. But he made a stand in defense of torture and Dubai.

Tells you a lot about his real priorities.

Of course Cheney is the real torture man. Cheney used phony intel from Al Lippi after he was tortured. Al Lippi sayid anything the interrogators wanted him to say to try and make them stop, including that Saddam had trained Al Qaida in WMD use. Total fiction though. So much for torture working.
