June 22, 2006: The Marine Corps investigation into the incident at Haditha, Iraq, has come to one major conclusion: There was no cover-up attempt.

One can't tell from this brief little piece whether the investigation the author has in mind is the one that is suspected of being the coverup.

I checked the article via the link and can find nothing about the date of the investigation to which he is referring. You may recall that the Time Magazine piece and all subsequent pieceds referred to a Marine Corps investigation which found no serious wrong doing and was now dubbed part of the cover up.

I wouldn't crow about Haditha until the investigations into whether crimes were committed report back. Those are still ongoing.

Consistent with my established practice, I will not opine on criminal investigations.
