Not true. Far more likely is that the Shi'a and Sunni will get on with their civil war, (without having the political luxury of blaming everything wrong about their land on 'foreigners and crusaders'), until the Shi'a win firm control over their own areas and the Sunnis retreat to the 'rump' portion of 'Iraq' soon to be afiliated with Saudi Arabia or Jordan. The only peace that will come is when the locals settle their own hash... and carve out their own political spheres. Most likely result: Shi'a Iraq, Kurdistan in 'North Iraq', and a Sunni mini-state affiliated with one or both of it's Sunni neighbors.

True. And the democrats on the left will rejoice with the terrorists. Until someone innocent civilian they love gets killed. Then they would blame Bush for leaving too early. You've got a good point. If the Democrats can force the US out of Iraq, which would cause catastrophic results, (both for the Middle East, Europe and the US), then the Demos could blame Bush, even though the Demos would have sabotaged the war effort. OTOH, I don't think that the demos rejoice with the terrorists. I just think that the demos aren't too bright. They think that it is America's fault that the Islamists want to destroy the US. If Kerry was around during WWII, he would have blamed Europe for Hitler wanting to rape, plunder and conquer Europe.
