HPs printer support really is terrible.

The only problems I had were with the drivers. And I found I could always download the latest update over the net. I am amazed that it is still working well. Of course, I don't use it much. But it has lasted through two computers.

The office-style, more expensive HP's work well.

In my experience, it's the MFC machines that are bad.

I prefer Brother printers.

And don't ever try and install another HP printer on your computer or it will go into total shut down mode. I spent 4 hours with tech going through my directory to eliminate the first printer line by line. Totally unreal. Damn thing was more like a virus then printer driver.
