If it is mostly sunnis (which I suspect is the case) then the newly formed government (that includes sunnis) has to kick ass and tell them to knock it off or a lot of them will die. Get other sunnis that do like peace and freedom to rat them out and get rid of the cancer. If it is a tie, then it is more of a problem imo. The region is a mess in general. It needs to be tidied up with WMDs and nukes getting more available. We need societies that don't want to use them. Bush's plan is brilliant in theory imo. But if it doesn't work it won't do much good. If more people in the world as a whole were supportive and agreed at least with the intent (instead of dishonestly calling the President a liar and saying it is all to get his buddies rich) it would be much easier. But many many folks hate us soooooo much, they will fight with the terrorists against us. The NY Times did it again today. I gotta get some crap done. Good conversation, and I'm glad that you have shared your views on this prickly situation.
