"The Sunnis --- having little to no oil under their lands --- are being CUT OUT from the oil revenues.... "

It is only their land in your scenario. In my scenario they will all be Iraqis with one country, which seems to take the teeth out of your argument. That said, I am not an expert on their constitution. If it truly eliminates all wealth from Sunnis, that sounds like a recipe for disaster. Governements in general pay for roads, infrastructure, self defense, etc. Hopefully (there's that word again) all Iraqis will benefit from their constitutional government.

"WHICH side is THAT?"

The side that stands for the rule of law and equal rights for all the people. The side that supports the unity government they elected and we are supporting. Not the side that is slaughtering people and causing chaos.

"Mostly what we are doing is giving the locals a built-in excuse to blame all their problems on 'foreigners'"

This is your opinion, and the opinion of many others. I do not believe it though. I think there would be more violence if we left.

"I think I'm being REALISTIC"

Almost all pessimists think this. I think it is hard to self diagnose.

"I think that my 'vision' IS HOPE"

I base my observation on the fact that you think they cannot coexist peacefully. Let's see how it turns out.
