I will repeat for the umteenth time........if Saddam was such a threat why wouldn't the Israeli's next store take him out?.///.because they knew this quagmire would be the result.They are a heck of a lot smarter dealing with their enemies in the Middle East than we are.

Just like it was the Republicans who were screaming the loudest to get Clinton to pull our troops out of Somalia.... Perhaps a good part of what you are complaining about is just 'out-of-power-itis' among the Washington crowd. (Or perhaps it's that there are often good reasons to not muck around in foreign lands, or try occupying them for long....)
