I guess I should be happy that I don't own any of those, but I remember thinking that when INCY was around 25 that we would look back in a few years and marvel at how cheap it was. I acted on that thought, but only briefly, thank goodness.

Sub cash seems less important than how it is managed - or the plan to keep from going to zero cash. If there is no prospect of getting to profitability after the shares have sank so low, it is very dilutive to go to the market for more cash. Some of these listed have not much more than a hope and a prayer that someone will come along and buy them out - or merge as in DPII.

So who amoung both your list do you see as "making it"? The biggest surprise to me is GLGC. Maybe this is one of those stocks I fell "in love with"? My gosh at the MC it is at now though, one is sure not paying much for all the science they have done.

Is there a winner in the list?

steve

Losers:
prcs MC has declined 31% to $22M
dovp MC has declined 82% to $6M

Little change:
inhx, glgc, and osci marketcaps are about the
same (osci is oscid and yahoo shows $789M, but
I see a reverse 8 for 1 so is 99M--so little
change).

Winners:
crgn MC has increased 38% to $242M
incy MC has increased 29% to $448M

fwiw, anybody got the latest list of cheapos handy?

Using 6/30 cash on hand and not including debt, these are at >90% cash/market cap.

Last year when I posted a similar list only one of the bunch did well, Praecis by virtue of m&a. Only other one to increase in value was incy by just a dollar a share, dovp, crgn and osci smashed.

A few repeats on the list but mainly a bunch of recent late stage clinical crash and burns.
