this may well be a worthwhile short term trading tactic, but this stock is imo worth FAR more than the $3 it's trading at now, even under very conservative metals price assumptions. fair value about $6.50 , and in an enthusiastic market it could well go higher than that. the caveat as always is that the precious metals bull market needs to stay intact for such lofty targets to be realized.

as i have mentioned several times recently, theSouth Africans are THE sub group to be concentrating on here imo. the weak Rand has kept their margins high in spite of the somewhat weaker gold price, and if gold stabilizes or rallies ( such as today ) in addition to a weak Rand, that's a huge shot in the arm for their earnings. also, HMY's plan to split the company is certain to unlock value. this is a case where the parts are definitely worth more than the whole.
