No it's not obvious. Much more study is needed on the subject of Global Warming and it's multiple causations.

And that study should be giving us a blueprint on how to react to rising sea levels, especially if we see a sudden rise in sea levels, like a 20 foot rise in 50 years to 100 years as some suggest could occur. It will effect the way we live without a doubt.

By the way I haven't seen Gore's movie on the subject.
