Jeffy! I'll sign on to these guys going to prison for being DUMB enough to get sucked into an FBI trap, but these morons were NEVER going to be the guys behind the next 9/11! As the details come out, we'll see how much of the "plot" orginated with the FBI. I have a strong suspicion that these guys wanted to see how much MONEY and stuff they could con out of the phony AQ "contact". They asked for $50k to start..

Bush-Rove are fabricating threats in a new fear-smear campaign. This is exactly how they stole the 2002 election, by inflating foreign boogey men, hyping domestic terrorist threats, covering up rightwing corruption and fraud and calling democrat war hero leaders "weak", "cowards" and "traitors who help the enemy". The problem is people now can judge Bushies by their record and results. Five years of corruption and failure mostly. They can plainly see that five years after 9-11 Bushies have made a total mess of our national security, have spent us into the poorhouse and are robbing us blind. Rove's blitzkrieg of spin is all phony baloney, probably including this gang of unarmed misfits they busted, and North Korea's so-called ICBM which probably couldn't reach a fortune cookie factory in China. Although NK is and was still more of a threat to us than Saddam was, so in that respect it might be smart to finally do something about that menace. However, our entire military is bogged down in Iraq so don't count on any walk to go with the Bushie talk.
