US fears home-grown terror threat

"The US Attorney-General, Alberto Gonzales has warned that home-grown terrorists could pose as much danger to the US as foreign al-Qaeda operatives.

Seven men have been charged with plotting to blow up the Sears Tower in Chicago, and attack FBI offices.

The men, five from the US and two from Haiti, hoped to wage a "full ground war" against the US, according to the charges brought against them. "

It sure looks like the US will "unfortunately" have to remain on a war footing. Now the enemy is within, and war measures must be maintained and expanded. First there was Toronto, and now Miami in short order.

Yes, there is no respite or relaxation for the US in its fight against Al Qaeda and their terrorists world wide, and now including at home! Laws to fight terrorism must be tightened. When one is engaged in a full ground war, events such as the Hamas and Palestinian problems take a back seat to the more urgent concerns.

Consider poor George Bush who said in 2000, things would be a lot easier if this was a dictatorship, as long as he was the dictator.
